Serum levels of S100A8/A9 in 16 healthy children and 69 children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Thirty-seven of the 69 children with JIA were on no medical treatment, and 32 of 69 were on medical treatment. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used, as well as a post-hoc analysis (Dunn): healthy vs. no treatment p = 0.01 and healthy vs. treatment non-significant. Using a Mann-Whitney U test, we also compared the untreated group of children with JIA with the treated group, p = 0.02
