The combined screening of 653 migrants/refugees children and youths, carried out through the two-dimensional echocardiogram “GE Healthcare 2007”, and the retesting activity performed with the fixed ultrasound echocardiography machine Siemens “Acuson X700”, allowed to identify 17 ‘definite RHD’ and 122 ‘borderline RDH’ for a final detection rate of 26.0‰ and 186.8‰, respectively
